We’re suspending the policy change to limit IVES transcripts to mortgage loan determinations while we seek input from you and other stakeholders.
The Income Verification Express Service (IVES) program lets participants, mortgage lenders, banks, credit unions and others, request taxpayer authorization for the IRS to provide tax transcripts and wage statements in the loan application process.
To participate in the IVES program, companies may:
IVES now provides transcripts in near real-time with taxpayer authorization through their online account. With two online options, IVES participants can choose an avenue that works best for their company model. These updates to IVES are in response to the Taxpayer First Act.
Single requests: Use the Web User Interface (WebUI).
Bulk requests: Use IVES Application-to-Application (A2A).
Submit single requests to a taxpayer's online account.
A2A is for large volume filing and typically used by software developers and transmitters.
The Taxpayer First Act Application Program Interface (API) test environment is opened for IVES Participant testing.
The legacy faxing option is available with a 2-3 business day processing time.
